Comfortable and clean.

Liked:Room was small but comfy. A small fridge was available in the room. Easy check-in process with a door access code both for entering the hotel and for the room.

Comfortable and lovely.

Liked:The check is was simple and easy. The room was clean, comfortable and lovely.
Disliked:Still getting used to digital check in - and there was no problem so all went well, however in the event something goes wrong it all can feel a little overwhelming when there is no one there to help you navigate through the problem.

Beautiful room, but communication needs to be improved

Liked:Room was tastefully decorated and furnished in a modern style. Room has aircon which is great in this current weather! Coffee pods and tea making facilities were provided, along with a small fridge for drinks etc. Modern bathroom with good shower. Good WiFi and a TV with foreign channels (eg. BBC). Good location in a village that was quiet despite being close to major roads. There are several restaurants and a supermarket in the village.
Disliked:I've taken a couple of points off due to dreadful communication prior to check-in. The day before my booking started I received an email that said it included the door code to access the building and room, but the code was blank (see photo). I sent FOUR messages using different channels to ask what the code was, but only received a reply the following day when we were already on our way. I was quite concerned about this because I'd seen another review about people not being able to access their room on arrival. If, as I think, messages from the property are automated, there is a bug in the system that means codes are not always merged into the message. And to then ignore messages from guests is terrible customer service. Also, when we arrived another guest was trying to find Room 9, which is not in the main building. There is a hand-written notice by the main door, but it's in a location where it might not be seen, and there is no door number on Room 9. These points are easily rectified!
