Terrible General Manager Lisa

Disliked:1 Star – Very disappointing experience with management Unfortunately, our experience at this Comfort Inn was extremely disappointing, particularly because of how the General Manager, Lisa, handled multiple issues during our stay. Before arriving Friday, I called the hotel to confirm that we could have a crib/pack-and-play for our infant. This was approved and was also documented on our Booking.com reservation. When we arrived, the pack-and-play provided to us was completely broken and unusable. I want to give credit where it’s due: Kristine at the front desk was very kind and helpful. She came up to our room herself, saw the issue, and told us she would speak with her manager. Kristine explained that she had only been working there for a few weeks, and it was clear that she genuinely wanted to help. Unfortunately, the response from General Manager Lisa was essentially that there was nothing they could do and that we were on our own. We were told we could receive a refund for the two nights, but no alternative sleeping arrangement was offered. We had to have my husband go downstairs and advocate for us to purchase our own pack-and-play and get reimbursed. We also repeatedly asked to speak with the manager ourselves. Lisa refused to speak with us and reportedly told the employee, “That’s not a thing, I’m not speaking to them.” As a guest, I found that incredibly unprofessional, especially when the issue involved a safe sleeping arrangement for an infant that had been confirmed before our arrival. Unfortunately, this wasn’t an isolated incident. My sisters came up for one night during the same weekend and the toilet in their room became completely clogged and unusable. They were refunded for their room, but once again, Lisa’s response was that there was nothing she could do. My husband actually offered to get the proper equipment and fix the toilet himself, as he has previous plumbing experience, but Lisa refused that solution as well.
