Guest Reviews

What Guests Say

7.3

Very Good

9 reviews

Highlights

+Very good location (near S-Bahn/metro, supermarket in courtyard)
+Clean rooms
+Friendly and responsive staff
+Good, plentiful breakfast
+Generally good value for money

Could Improve

–Room quality inconsistent — small rooms for families and visible wear in some bathrooms
–Mattress too soft for some; extra/rollaway beds often uncomfortable
–No refrigerator in rooms
–Noise from main road and some rooms uncomfortably warm/windows hard to open
–Occasional broken or poorly functioning fixtures (sink drainage, lamps, hairdryer)

Cleanliness8.9

Multiple reviews explicitly praise cleanliness: 'sehr sauber', 'Viss bija tīrs', 'Kamer was netjes en schoon' and 'Einfach und saubere Ausstattung' — generally very positive with only minor bathroom-condition exceptions.

Service8.8

Staff repeatedly described as friendly and helpful (reception quickly fixed an unmade bed, 'Personel vriendelijk en behulpzaam', 'Sehr freundliches Personal', 'Atsaucīgs personāls') — strong positive service impressions.

Location8.9

Location frequently praised: near S-Bahn/metro, close to city centre and a supermarket in the courtyard — commonly cited as a major plus for guests.

Room Quality6.8

Mixed to negative comments about rooms: comfortable beds noted by some but also frequent complaints (mattress too soft, very small family rooms, terrible extra bed/sofa-bed, impractical sink, cramped bathrooms and visible wear).

Amenities6.9

Amenities are uneven: breakfast and on-site supermarket get good mentions, but several guests note missing in-room features (no refrigerator), windows that are hard to open and some broken fixtures.

Value for Money8.7

Many guests highlight fair/good price and good standards for the cost ('Goed verblijf voor leuke prijs', 'sehr fairen Preis') — overall value perceived positively.

Food and Beverage8.4

Breakfast is repeatedly described as plentiful and tasty ('Frühstück reichhaltig', 'Garšīgas brokastis', '早餐丰盛') though a few found it only 'reasonable' — mostly positive.

Overall Experience7.4

Overall impressions are generally positive (many 'vollkommen zufrieden', 'kurzer Aufenthalt mit voller Zufriedenheit') but tempered by recurring room-quality and amenity issues that lowered some guests' complete satisfaction.

No issues, nice stay

Liked:Arrived and were quickly seen by reception staff who spoke excellent English. Hotel seemed fairly busy in the bar but we didn't visit. Room was fairly basic, but clean well presented, got a decent nites sleep, shower was hot and worked well. Reception the day after was happy to book a taxi for our departure the day after without issue. Nice fairly no frills accommodation in a decent spot

Nice for short stay but expensive for what offers

Liked:The room was clean, normal size for a couple, shower is clean and water is hot enough.. the bad things are that you cannot open any window for fresh air and the parking is quite expensive and you must pay even if you booked the hotel. The staff on reception are not very friendly and you see on them that they don't want to be there mostly when you put them to speak english. They are quite rude in all the 3 days I was there, the vending machine not working and the breakfast is also a bit expensive for what they offer.. to have an idea, breakfast is 18 euro per person and the parking is 4 euro per hour, 30 per day.
