A beautifully decorated, comfortable room in central location.

Liked:Absolutely charming room! We loved it. The only teeny complaint, the stairs leading to the room are shared with the kitchen entrance to the restaurant. It was a bit noisy and there was a huge puddle of water in the morning. Otherwise, perfect stay, with the friendliest staff!!!!

Disliked:The shared entrance with the restaurant kitchen. Pretty noisy as they were cleaning up and a messy puddle to walk through in the morning.

Great price, amazing bed/pillows/linens, and staff but not for light sleepers due to street noise

Liked:Sharie was such a wonderful person. Really went above and beyond to ensure my things were safe/secure and even put my luggage in my room when I wasn't going to be back in time for check-in (I dropped it off early so I can venture in HMB). Wonderful communication throughout the day. The bed, pillow, and linens are an absolute DREAM. The towels are plush, soft, fresh, and wonderful to the touch.

Disliked:I wish I didn't have to make this note bc everything else truly was wonderful but there is no AC (common in the bay area) but there was a heat advisory this day so I had to keep the windows open. And while the location is excellent as it's right on Main St. - you get the good w/ the not so good - the street noise. I am a very light sleeper and have trouble staying asleep. This was probably my error - I should have done more research about being right on Main St. I woke up about 12-15 times throughout the night and scored a 0/20 on my Apple Watch for sleep interruptions due to the constant cars being cars on Main St. I even had my sleep tailored airbuds on with ambient sleep sounds to drown out the cars (SoundCore 40 - bc I know I'm a light sleeper). There's also a restaurant right across so it gets really loud up until 10-11pm or so. I don't think this impacts most travelers but it really impacted me bc of my unusually light sleeping issues and bc I was going to work the next day. So if this is you - keep this in mind. Otherwise, everything else was great, especially the people. :)

I overall enjoyed my stay with the exceptions noted above.

Liked:The HMB Inn was cute, cozy and very clean. Other than ice and a glass of wine, it didn’t have any amenities.

Disliked:The cleaning staff began their jobs too early with a lot of bumping, banging, and thumping. It did not allow for a peaceful and serene morning. I would suggest they alter the cleaning schedule to not start until after 10 am.
