Exotic accomodation outside Reykiavik, not modern: you need to like it (or not)

Liked:Old fashion viking style place Good breakfast Most staff are nice

Disliked:They never made the room. They did change towels twice upon request

We had a great stay at the Viking Hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Liked:They had a cottage that fit the 5 adults in my family. Breakfast was included and the staff was so nice. The restaurant was great! Only 15 minutes from Reykjavik. Convenient location - tours will pickup from hotel.

Disliked:The bathroom was small but fine for the 2 nights we were there. They are almost finished with their expansion and from what I saw it’s beautiful.

Liked:Authentic in Norse Icelandic cultural themes throughout the hotel & dining haul, & the personal care & support I received when travel plans & unexpected incidents have come up, the staff were very helpful in finding solutions for me & answering questions.

Disliked:The construction within & around the buildings & difficulty in parking & getting my bags to & from the car..
