This hotel is really an Oasis

Liked:This was one hotel I was looking forward to staying at on our travels, and we were not let down. We had constant correspondence from Loane and were given a lovely welcome. Throughout our stay, she was so thoughtful. With bad weather, she came to our room to tell us that the restaurants would be closing early, so to leave earlier for our meal. She spoke perfect English and always had a smile. We loved our stay here. The comments below were only minor issues. We soon ignored or managed. This is definitely the best place to stay in Le Desirade. Thank you, Loane.
Disliked:The internet was poor during the bad weather, so I went to the reception to be nearer the router. The decor perhaps needs attention. Paper cups need to be replaced daily. Ours were soon leaking. We could not use the pool, but the nearby beach is beautiful with a bar and restaurant.

La Desirade, our dream island

Liked:We really loved our short stay in La Desirade, definitely planning to visit here again. Hotel Oasis is a beautiful 'boutique' hotel within walking distance from the harbor, the beach, the restaurants and the shops. You could clearly see that the owner really wants to take a good care of the hotel and its surroundings. Room was clean, there is refrigerator and wifi was ok. There are water tanks to prevent water outages. Plated breakfast is available for 10 euros/person. Outside the hotel, recommending La Payotte for lunch and Lagranlag for dinner. Rent a vehicle to go around the magnificent island.
Disliked:Service hours are limited - mainly around breakfast and ferry times. There are no lunch or dinner options at the hotel itself. We stayed in upper floor room which was very compact, couldn't believe it's 25 m2. Swimming pool is more like a plonge pool.
