Swedish trip.

Liked:Ideally positioned with a lovely restaurant and rooftop bar. The staff were a delight and the breakfasts were outstanding in choice and taste.

Disliked:If location is all important and you are staying there to simply have a sleep after a night out then it'd be OK but for us... The room was SO much smaller than the images implied. So much so, we examined the images to compare against the rooms to check we weren't given the wrong room. There wasn't even a bedside table! It was also extremely dark as it was painted black and had poor lighting. The aircon wasn't very powerful, so we had the window open but unfortunately being in the main hub it was very noisy into the early hours. We felt the restaurant's menu was a bit limited as my wife doesn't eat meat/fish although what they had was delicious.

Great location for what we wanted

Liked:Staff were very friendly and helpful

Disliked:We weren't told at check in that we had breakfast included, so will missed it on the first morning and arrived just as it was closing on the second morning. No one ever explained what drinks were available by check in desk. I would have preferred a kettle in the room! Was also incredibly noisy out on the street until 2am. Didn't bother us, but might have bothered other guests

Liked:It was pretty, and loved the restaurant and gym

Disliked:It was a bit narrow getting into the hotel. Room was a little bit scruffy, carpets a little stained and walls had some marks on them. It would have been nice to have tea, coffee and water in the room.

Staff excellent , great breakfast and location but rooms quite small

Liked:The breakfast was excellent, a wide range of food…..hot food / pastries and a huge range of fresh fruit , cold meats and drinks . The staff were also excellent , very hardworking and pleasant ; nothing was too much trouble for them . The location of the hotel is very good for all the main attractions of Goteborg The lifts work well and is reliable .

Disliked:Noise is excessive at night outside the hotel ; facilities within the rooms are sparse eg no tea making/ coffee facilities ; no room fridge , no kettle and there is no foyer or lounge for residents to have a coffee and relax . The ground floor is really devoted to the restaurant . The lighting is poor , exacerbated by the profusion of dark wood throughout the hotel . This area needs real improvement since to access parts of the buffet you need to use small sets of stairs..
