Incompetent management - Will not return calls or refund fees following major power outage

Liked:Absolutely nothing to like about this incredibly poorly managed hotel with no follow up customer care or consideration after a major regional power outage

Disliked:We couldn't stay here as there was a major power outage throughout the entire Golden/Invermere area. There was zero help for support with the cancellation and fee refund due to the power outage. The hotel manager ignored the Booking.com request to cancel. This hotel and every hotel in the surrounding area could not accommodate any guests. This was no fault of our own. We had to find alternate accommodation in a panic in Banff for $1000. The Ramada Golden still charged us for our nights stay. This was on August 2 and it is now August 9. I have emailed several times with short replies and no help from Meva Dhami the General Manager. This manager will not return my calls. Absolutely outrageous the way we are being treated in this situation that has made an already stressful start to our vacation even worse. We are out $1000 now not just $400 as they will not refund me following this power outage. DO NOT RECOMMENDED AS THERE IS NO CARE OR CONCERN FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Cecent but lacking

Liked:Two bedrooms and one extra bed. Breakfast was good.

Disliked:Very little kitchen space oand no kitchen sink, just one bathroom. And the lobby and breakfast space was way too cold.
