Amazing Hostal in the centre of golden, has everything you need

Liked:The property was spacious, clean, lots of amenities. Good kitchen and utensils. We did laundry for only $5 which only has a two hour turn around! The beds were super comfy & the bathrooms were always clean.

Very creaky beds

Liked:Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Room was quiet despite being near train.

Disliked:Poor value for what you get. This was the most expensive hotel on my five day Western Canada trip and also the most basic accommodations. One might say "location", but Golden is just Golden. Nothing special about it. Revelstoke to the West is far better value. Canmore to the east is far better value. Golden is strangely overpriced. But that's the town and unfair, I guess, to judge the hostel too harshly for that. My biggest problem was they got the most important thing so very wrong... the beds. We had to move the tiny mattresses to the floor because the cheap wooden bunk beds creak so badly! That ruined everything else.
