Convenient & reliable. Watch out for upstairs rooms and steep driveway.

Liked:Cons: There are some rooms that are upstairs. We ended up with a room with stairs which was inconvenient. The property has a very steep driveway that is the only way in and out of the property by car & foot. Pros: Short walk to Main St., cute & cozy room, breakfast they provide was good, good customer service. Fair price.

Cozy, quality and friendly.

Liked:My wife and I stayed here for a mid week getaway. We traveled from MN and just so happen to be there for some light flurries and cold temps. Texans are not built for the cold, but our room at the lodge was great. We checks in without a hassle, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The food baskets were great and the staff was very pleasant. We will certainly be back! Well done Texas.

It was lovely

Liked:We had a very good experience! Check in was smooth, nicely appointed room. We met up with2 other couples, who were also impressed. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the tub shower combination. While lovely to look at, climbing in and out of an elevated tub with a step too tiny and slippery to use was a scary experience. I am not terribly mobility compromised just a little stiff in the am. It seems that there are other room options available and I would suggest exploring those if this is a concern. We had a great time at the fireplace and met some very lovely people! We would go back!

Overpriced for the accommodations.

Liked:We stayed at a sister property and were extremely impressed. This B & B was dirty, had trash in the trash can, and had an extremely overwhelming smell of a cleaning product. The amount of dust on the baseboards and outlet covers was unreasonable. There were only 2 pillows total for 2 people. We were beside and under a 2 story unit, and the walls were so thin that I could hear the residents sneeze. The vanity was so small that there was virtually no space for more than a toothbrush and toothpaste. The tub is nice but extremely difficult to step over to get inside. The breakfast was delivered in a timely manner and was very good. The pool was nice and visually appealing. The view was beautiful. For the price we paid, I would have expected a more luxurious room and a very clean room. And a bathroom that wasn't cramped with virtually no countertop and a wall on either side. It was cramped and claustrophobic.
