Superbly convenient and great value for money

Liked:The location opposite the Hauptbahnhof is excellent for train travellers and I was pleasantly surprised that the room was very quiet though directly above a busy street. I was also happy that there were none of the usual homeless/addicts which you usually find around most European train stations. Everything necessary in the room worked well. Staff were always responsive and very professional. Good breakfast and the Irish Pub next door is a plus!
Disliked:The hotel is dated but I have no issues with this as long as the toilet works well, the room clean and linen spotless.

Terrible housekeeping, angry, aggressive, and violent employee… with zero provocation.

Liked:The first room I was assigned the bed unmade, towels on the floor, etc. my room was changed to the one across the hall. That room had leftover food in the refrigerator. Neither one of these things would’ve given me reason to write this review. Not good by all means, I would have given low stars, but not right a review. Honestly the location is great both for the train and the airport. Way not the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in but after settling in, adequate for the two nights that I was there… But this is the reason for my writing this review; I was not feeling well and did a little bit of simple laundry, took a shower, and was in bed by 7 p.m. Shortly after I dozed off, there was knocking at my door. A man from the hotel was telling me that I was mistakenly given this room, and that I needed to move back to the original room that was given to me because somebody had come to the hotel and was insisting on getting the room that I was in. I explained that I wasn’t feeling well, that I was completely unpacked, that I had a bit of laundry hanging, and I was not interested in moving. He was insistent that I must move and that he would “help me”. This conversation took place with the door open just a little bit. When I said that I was not interested in moving and went to close the door he put his foot in the door and push pushed back on the door. I responded with distinct anger and went to close the door again in which case he repeated his action preventing me from closing the door. When he realized I clearly was not going to open the door he stomped away, saying that he was calling the police. Of course the police never showed up (clearly because I was in a room that I had been given the key to 2 or 3 hours earlier). This was an overt aggressive behavior by an employee to a guest of the hotel. It was a violent action… when I explained it to management the next morning, they were extremely apologetic. But needless to say I do not recommend this hotel.
Disliked:First, I was assigned a room that was not cleaned. Second I was given a room that had leftover food in the refrigerator, then after I was asleep,an employee woke me up and violently tried to push his way into my room against my will.
