Great location, clean, comfortable bed

Liked:Hotel very clean and the bed was comfortable, was there in warm weather and the thin quilt was welcome. Staff were all fantastic and I was swiftly moved rooms when I showed them a problem with my bathroom. Bag drop if you arrive early or depart late. Location was first class for the hauptbahnhof (2 minutes away) and only 10 minutes from the romerberg on a nice walk through the bankenviertel and shopping district. You’ll read things about bahnhofsviertel (the area the hotel is in) and it does have visible troubles with drug use etc which can be sad to see, but not the hellscape it’s made out to be. Kaiserstraße is actually pretty vibrant with some decent restaurants and lots of people moving through the city, though do stay cautious as you would elsewhere. I only had a continental breakfast the one morning I ate in the hotel due to having a meal planned but it looked a good spread.

Disliked:€25 for breakfast is quite a lot. Some loud noises outside break through the windows. That’s about it. It was a great stay.

Disapointing

Liked:Brekfast fine. Location near train station fine.

Disliked:There was no ventilation in the bathroom The aircondition could not cool down the room so it was very hot. Although it was a premium room it was located at the street side, ie. not possible to open the window due to noise. Noise from kitchen below the room was tranmitting throug the bathroom.

Liked:all was good. the only thing is to make sure your guests know about the street behind the hotel. the guests need to stay on Kaiserstrasse and not go behind the hotel. we made the left turn, and it was a very sad experience. but on the way back we stayed on Kiaserstrasse from the old city center. the carpet was a little dirty. beside that the staff was great the breakfast was great. Thank you. The Market next door staff were very nice.

Mixed experience: great location but disappointing room conditions.

Liked:Although I booked a single-bed room, the bed was actually made by combining two separate beds, which kept sliding apart during the night. We had to constantly fix it, which made the experience quite uncomfortable. The hotel is very centrally located, which is a plus. However, I cannot say the same about the cleanliness. When we entered the room, there was a noticeable damp smell, and the dusting did not seem to have been done properly.
