Still good, but not as good as it used to be.

Liked:I've stayed here many times since 2011, what I wrote in my review last year still mostly applies: The hotel has a great location, just 50 metres from the Central Station (on the good side away from the drug infested areas). It is very stylish with an early 20th century atmosphere and some careful renovations. It is clean, rooms are quiet.

Disliked:Unfortunately, things having been going well since my last stay. The breakfast is now served in the hotel lobby, much less comfortable than the room it used to be in. Many processes are automated with the clear incentive to reduce staff. My room was not of the standard I've been used to from the hotel: the wardrobe was from the cheap IKEA series, the washbasin didn't have a plug, the TV channels were out of order - mostly little things that still indicate lack of care. I still like the hotel, but I'm concerned it is going downhill.

Mixed opinions

Liked:The hotel is very nice, perfect location. We missed the train and arrived early in the morning instead of the night. We called the previous day and our key was left with the breakfast staff, which was really nice. This brings me to the things we didn’t like.

Disliked:The check in ends at midnight. There was no reception staff available. We requested check in around 1am while booking this hotel, but never heard back. Since check in is only through the machine and cuts off at midnight, what would have happened if we didn’t miss our train and arrived at 1am? How is it possible that there is no reception staff?
