Adequate and Comfortable

Liked:Booking in was trouble free and the attendant was really friendly and helpful and booked me in earlier than planned as my room was ready. The hotel itself is a budget hotel and felt like one, however, the accommodation was more than adequate for what I needed, i.e. just a room to relax and chill after long days of travelling and sightseeing, and met my expectations. I didn't lack for anything during my stay and the free daily bottle of water was a nice touch - although to have the option of sparling water instead of still would have been appreciated. The location of the hotel was ideal for me - close to the Hauptbahnhof (5 minute walk) and within easy walking distance to the city centre (about 15 - 20 minute walk).

Disliked:The hotel met my expectations, so there was not much to dislike. However, there were two areas that, for me, where a little disappointing. Firstly, the breakfasts were a little underwhelming. It was definitely "breakfast on a budget" and when I stay again, I won't include a breakfast in my accommodation. Secondly, although the location of the hotel was ideal for me, i.e. close to the Hauptbahnhof, it does have its downside - the street is a cul-du-sac and can become VERY noisy at night with people shouting in the street all through the night, which causes a nasty echo being a cul-du-sac. This meant that I was unable to sleep with the window open for fresh air. Although this was frustrating, it wouldn't stop me from staying at the hotel again. There appears to be, what I termed "drug alley", just around the corner from the hotel where groups of drug addicts seemed to gather. I would not recommend the location for everybody, as this could be a little intimidating - however, they did not at any time bother me when I walked past them. Eventually, I found an alternative route that did not pass "drug alley".

Great overall. If internet is more stable would be even better.

Liked:Location is great. Very good value for the money. Good breakfast but vegan options is limited. Friendly staff.

Disliked:Wifi in the room was not functional. I couldn't even watch videos with it.
