Tree Frogs = Best Vacation

Liked:We had the absolute best family vacation in Costa Rica! Staying in the jungle with our family of 4 was an unforgettable experience. What truly made the trip extra special was Greivin. He took incredible care of us from the moment we arrived and genuinely made our trip to Costa Rica. Our kids absolutely loved him, and he went above and beyond to create memorable experiences for our family. multiple evenings he even took us searching for tree frogs and sloths, which became one of the highlights of our entire trip. His kindness, knowledge of wildlife, and enthusiasm made every day feel special. This vacation created memories our family will cherish forever, and Greivin played such a huge part in that. We cannot thank him enough for making our stay so meaningful and magical!

Luxury in the rainforest

Liked:From the moment we arrived, we experienced incredible customer service. It is very obvious that the customer experience is highly emphasized by management and the staff is trained for this. From the drivers who transported us to and from Nayara, to the greeters in the Welcome Center, to Mel in the Reception Center as she greeted us with a smile and offered a cooling cocktail/mocktail and the option of a condensed or expanded explanation of our stay…it did not disappoint. The room and view was amazing, the bed was comfortable, the special anniversary celebration gifts that awaited us in our room…it was all wonderful. The food and cocktails at each of the four restaurants we ate at was delicious; all with a variety of options. The grounds were kept up so well….our first time experiencing the rain forest did not disappoint. I would say the highlight of our stay came the last evening we were there. We had been hoping for a sloth sighting and just hadn’t seen one in the daylight. We weren’t able to join the sloth tour as we were soaking in the six hot springs at that time. As we walked around the resort, looking up in the trees, we saw Carlos (Charlie) driving a cart. We told him we hadn’t seen one in the daylight and really wanted to before we left. He looked us in the eye and said he would find one for us. In the meantime, Kevin picked us up in the golf cart and tried to find a sloth for us. We were about ready to give up, when Kevin got a call from Carlos and rushed us to him where we finally enjoyed a wonderful viewing of a sloth. I even got a great video to share with our family! We were touched by Carlos and Kevin’s desire to help us complete a bucket list activity before we left. The next morning we were up at 5am, with one last look over our plunge pool at Arenal. We enjoyed our last breakfast and had a seamless checkout. In regards to transportation, Hugo picked us up from Four Seasons Papagayo, and chose a route that exposed us to some beautiful scenery along the way, along with a stop for a traditional Casado for lunch. On our return to Liberia, Ron was our driver and was an incredible wealth of information. When he found out that we had not seen a Toucan on our trip, he decided he wanted to make that happen, and he did!!! He found a tree with at least five Toucans sitting in it and I was able to get some great photos. Carlos and Kevin, Hugo and Ron….four gentleman who displayed above and beyond personal care and attention during our stay at Nayara. To the management at Nayara, well done.

Luxury Nature

Liked:Nayara Tented Camp is truly a special place. It seamlessly blends luxury with nature, offering magical views of the volcano along with abundant wildlife and beautiful on-site hot springs. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely pampered. The only downside was the food—Asia Luna was a bit disappointing. Aside from that, the experience was exceptional. The staff and management went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Overall, this is our favorite hotel in the world.

Amazing Trip to Tented Camp!

Liked:We had such an amazing and awe-inspiring trip at Nayara Tented Camp. I went with my family and wife for 5 nights in April 2026 and was blown away by the Tented Camps. Nayara is strong in every aspect, but shines the most in its service and the property itself. The cost is high, but Tented Camp is certainly worth it. The property is stunning as other reviews and photos indicate, and Nayara's service is just on another level. From the front staff's welcoming drinks and towels to the carts whisking you away throughout the property, everything is anticipated and considered. The vast majority of the staff speaks excellent English and communication in-person and via WhatsApp was very easy. I had particularly excellent experiences with Fabricio Basabey, Ignacio (La Terraza kitchen), Alexander (La Terraza kitchen), Jose (Tented Camp breakfast), and Luis Angel (Amor Loco), but truly everyone was fabulous and ensured the best stay. Nayara made everything frictionless. They helped arranged airport pick-up/drop off along and coordinated our requested activities. Would recommend spending at least half of your time at the resort as there is SO much to see/do along with areas to relax. Given 5 individuals, we stayed at one of their Grand Tents. While the Grand Tent was amazing and allowed us to stay together as a group of 5, we would consider 2 requesting 2 tents close together in the future. The reason being that the Grand Tent had 1 luxurious suite with the 2nd suite being less nice (on the ground level below the primary suite, so was darker and not as beautiful). Maybe that structure is better suited to parents and their kids. Extremely clean with maid and turndown service daily. The only place where Tented Camp didn't excel was the food. I'd say their food was 7-7.5/10 overall, with the Amor Loco pre-fixe dinner being our favorite. It was all good-very good, but relatively overrated given the price. That being said, it was pretty good and allowed us to explore a variety of cuisines while staying at Nayara.
