Disliked:No activities on the pool in the afternoon and after 6pm it's a ghost town, no music, nothing, and the drinks on the tiki bar outside were watery

A lot of issues - and no follow up from GM

Liked:I shared my experience with Sandy Beebe-Osipov, who is the General Manager and after she emailed me asking to share my experience 10 days ago with no response whatsoever. I would have given a 4 but now it's a 3 because that is just lame to ask and not respond. this was my response: I started getting text messages about upgrading my room and then eventually about getting a late check out for a fee. I am a platinum elite member – I typically get these w/out paying – when I mentioned that – I didn’t get a response. I thought it was AI – but eventually Trace answered me. I did not feel valued at a Platinum member but nickel and dimed. I was upgraded which was nice – but we had quite a debacle with my late check out. I mentioned it to Trace at check in- and he added it. But then the text in the morning tried to charge me for one- I asked for it again and then Trace said they were all gone!? I called him at that point on the hotel phone and reminded him. He did get it fixed but when I got my wrist band updated it only worked until noon – at 12:50 we were locked out. THREE trips to the front desk it took me to finally get in my room. VERY frustrating. Various maintenance issues: Bathroom door makes very loud noise when shutting – hard to shut. Toilet doesn’t flush well The phone on 5th floor by elevators doesn’t work – maid trying calling to get approval to let me in so I didn’t have to keep going back down to front desk when I couldn’t get in. The mermaid cancelled on our first day due to “weather” – it was cloudy in the afternoon – storms cleared out by noon. The waterfalls weren’t working on Sunday. Monday the entire pool/river was closed in morning. These are a lot of little things but really added up together esp. the texts and not getting into our room. We weren’t the only ones locked up – two other rooms were at the desk w/ same issue that morning that I saw…

Great hotel for families only. If you’re a single person with adult kids or friends not so much.

Liked:It had easy access to the beach.

Disliked:1. Hotel was accommodating for kids but not adults(only had a bar inside-need more adult activities outside). 2. Paid to park in the hotel parking lot when you’re staying there, that’s ridiculous. 3. Bed sheets were extremely thin and smelled like cigarette smoke (I don’t smoke at all). 4. Storage for clothes was limited.
