Horrible Hotel

Liked:I rented the room for the Memorial Day weekend and got there at 9:30 pm. I expected the hotel to be decent hotel. When I got to the room, the air conditioner and TV in my room was not working. I went to the lobby and reported it and they did nothing. They didn't offer us another room. The dishwasher was not working. The bed was horrible to sleep on. But we were so tired that we waiting to the following day. I asked the concierge where I can get ice, and he said there's no ice machine on the floors. The hotel is outdated. Everything in the hotel is old. I don't recommend it to no one.

Needs updating.

Liked:Was not greeted very well well by the lady on reception at check-in but Rusty was great. Was upset at the state of the carpet on the fourth floor and also disappointed at the first look at our room as it did not match the publicity photographs. The furniture in the living area was so firm that it was uncomfortable but the “easy chair” was a joke. My husband is tall but his feet could not touch the floor! WiFi was non existant in the sitting area. The best signal was found in the bathroom but you could not sit on the closed lid of the toilet as the lid was so flimsy it felt as if it might crack, The towels for two, two small bath towels, one small hand towel and two face cloths so had to go hunting for another hand towel. They were very thin. The bed was comfortable but the linen was very old and bobbly but at least it was clean. In the kitchen area ( sink, microwave and fridge/ freezer) there was enough crockery and cutlery for three people but no washing-up liquid. Fortunately I brought my own from home so could wash up but there was no scrubbing brush or pan scrub to help with cleaning the dishes. Paper towel was provided to dry the dishes. We were concerned to find a noisy dehumidifier already working in our room but we switched it off when we were in and were pleased to find that the room did not smell. The shower was very good and there was plenty of hot water and it was very quiet in the Hotel. The Hotel is just lacking a personality. It is very old and tired especially around the pool area and all the outside furniture needs replacing as the plastic is cracking in some of the loungers. There is a very Publix located nearby and an excellent Chinese takeaway as well as a pizza place and across the highway is a Walmart. There is a large car park around the Hotel. Allure Suites was convenient for where we wanted to be but it is a fine balance between cost and convenience.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Liked:We checked in and immediately checked out. The pictures online are not indicative of the rooms. There was bodily fluids on the mattress box spring, stains on the chairs and rust/a film of some sort on the refrigerator door, panels peeling off the kitchenette cabinet doors. Rooms are outdated and there are long time residents living there- didn't seem like a lot of hotel guests. Hotel needs to be condemned! Getting a full refund has been very difficult.
