Great location, but not good value for money

Liked:- The staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind. - The room was cleaned regularly (every day). - The location of the property is amazing, with all the main sights, the historic centre, and restaurants within walking distance. - The breakfast was tasty.

Disliked:- The room was cosy, but a bit shabby. - The window in our room had to remain closed because of repair work in the inner courtyard. We were only informed about this a week before our visit and, by then, it was too late to change our plans. - The iron was old and burnt, and we could not get an ironing board because it was always being used by other guests. - Not great value for money: the quality of the accommodation did not justify the €300-per-night price.

horrible!

Disliked:I told them about my check-in time many days in advance and I was told they would send me the instructions. They did not. I called booking.com to follow up and after 45 minutes of discussion they told me the prpery is ready for me. Wrong! the door was locked and nobody was there! I waited in the the street with all my luggage for more than 90 minutes and nobody showed up. Imagine being a girl, alone in the middle of the night with all your luggage in the middle of nowhere, past midnight your phone is running out of battery, waiting for somebody to show up. there was nobody on the street but me! horrific experience! This is after midnight! finally booking.com found another property I got an uber and left. these people are so irresponsible and careless!

For an authentic Italian feeling!

Liked:This is a charming place, vibrating Italy. We had a big room, and everything in it was perfect and really provided for a real Italian experience. The lovely woman at the reception was kindly arranging early breakfast for us, and overall made us feel very welcome. This area of Florence is cosy, and comes with surprises such as nice restaurants, wine bars, and piazzas. Not as busy as on the other side of Ponte Vecchio, but yet a wonderful atmosphere and just a ten minute walk to the other side of the river.

Disliked:We had some troubles knowing where tog o at check in due to very small signes, but found ourselves in eventually. Nothing else I can think of that wasn't perfect.
