DO NOT STAY HERE! BEWARE!

Disliked:This place has no AC even though it says it does. Also TV supposedly went out the day before my stay. The host just said we’re waiting on another replacement never came. For over $2k for a week stay this is garbage! Customer service won’t help with anything either. All has been well documented and a dispute with my bank will follow.

Liked:The view and access to the beach was amazing. We saw the most magical sunset ever! Big roomy house and kitchen. I liked the added security of the gate out front. Jeff was an amazing host. Thank you!

Dire, abysmal, unclean, unsafe, scam. Shouldn’t be on Booking.com

Liked:I like the fact that after complaining about this absolutely awful property, which is unsafe and unclean, that I got a FULL refund and that the bank will now be pursuing Mr Chen the proprietor for repayment. I also like the fact that as I questioned the validity of the licence held with the authorities in Honolulu, they are investigating whether this rental is actually permitted (as questioned by others on here). I like the fact that the property is now not available for booking on Booking.com beyond early next year and hope that the many poor reviews have exposed this scam for what it is and avoided others being taken in by the misrepresentation on Booking.com

Disliked:I have had to remove the original review to give this update. But as a quick summary of what I didn’t like and why we didn’t stay a single night of the 4 we booked… - the very dangerous main road that you have to turn off and padlock and chain you have to navigate while your cars’s back end awaits collision by oncoming traffic. - the major roadworks that we were not notified of in advance - the ramshackle gates, outdoor workshop, trash cans, ancient dilapidated and rusting RV and general trailer park environment that greets you. - the lack of lights and the unsettling smell of weed and voices from the dark on the beach - kids all over the beach and lack of privacy - inside, the filth, the insects, the greasy blinds and worktops, the shoddy kitchen, the lack of curtains, the low quality hostel like feel - the rather unpleasant Mr Chen the proprietor who is sarcastic, mocking and laughs at the discomfort of his guests. - to read that since I booked the property, many poor reviews have been left. If I had waited to book, I would have seen these and avoided all the hassle. - Mr Chen asked me for photos. Well here as part of this review are just a few. I am happy to share!

Liked:I love the house and that the backyard is the beach. Truly a magical experience. The property was beautiful and spacious and the owner/manager was very responsive and considerate.

Disliked:The only thing I'd like to have had would maybe be small AC units in the bedrooms just to mitigate the humidity when it was time for sleep. Being from a dry place like Phoenix, humidity is a bit of a change but AC or not I still highly recommend this space.
