Relaxing mini break - very good restaurants around the area.

Liked:Breakfast offered a great variety of food, with plenty of seating available. the staff were very attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The standard room was clean and comfortable. The pool was large, with plenty of sunbeds to choose from around the pool and others beautifully arranged on different levels by well maintained lawns. The adults-only pool was a great addition away from the more crowded family pool which provided a more peaceful place to relax if you are not accompanied by kids. ;)

Disliked:The room was too bright at night. Blackout curtains would have made it much easier to get a good night's sleep.

Absolutely Great.

Liked:Not luxurious, but really clean, relaxed and friendly. So much so that I've booked again for next year. Costa de la Luz is completely different from the other Costas, so laid back and beautiful.

Shambolic and Anti British

Liked:Greeted by our Saga host, Chris, who was brilliant throughout. Totally ignored by the reception staff. Housekeeping was excellent, fresh towels and sheets whenever we wanted. Susana, Allesandro, Ioan and Emilio were very helpful. The all inclusive Saga package means you are given an armband on arrival and this blights you for the rest of your holiday. Paying customers (mainly Spanish) are given priority at all outlets. The canteen, it is NOT a restaurant, serves the same food every day. It is obviously limited by budget and does not attempt to achieve any level of quality. Meat is cooked as fast as possible resulting in a tough and sometimes undercooked result. My partner had two experiences where chicken and fish were still raw in the middle. Much of the fruit served was from cans which was so disappointing. I stopped having breakfast and lunch after 3 days and the last 5 days lived on chips and bread rolls. Main Bar opening hours despite being advertised as 13 hours, changed from 11am till midnight to 8pm till Midnight. We were sent to the Dos Faros bar where we were served for 1 day. After that we had to go to the pool bar where there were only 9 chairs. Sunbeds cannot be reserved unless you are Spanish. World Cup coverage was good until the first England game (Wednesday) when entertainment (a woman shouting into a microphone) was provided. We were allowed to watch one screen with Spanish commentary. When I asked why we couldn’t have English commentary as this was available in our room. I was told to go to my room. The following Saturday we were expecting entertainment but it was “Oh no Germany are playing”. On the evening of the Spanish game the main bar, where a big screen was, remained closed until 5 minutes before kick off. At this point they realised the big screen projector was not working. The hotel and local area is very clean and it is such a shame that Saga guests are treated so appallingly.
