Wonderful hotel overall, but a clear lack of quality and engagement in the water sports offerings.

Liked:We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, including a very attentive and personal guest service that made us feel truly valued. The food at the buffet restaurant was excellent, with a great variety and high quality. The spa area is very well equipped, especially the sauna, and offers a perfect place to relax. The pool area is fantastic, and the beach and sea are absolutely beautiful. Overall, a top-quality hotel that we would highly recommend.

Disliked:Unfortunately, the dive and water sports team was a complete disappointment. During both excursions we experienced a total lack of motivation, engagement, enthusiasm, and passion. This was extremely disappointing and does not match the otherwise high quality of the hotel at all. There is a serious need for improvement here. Guests who are interested in diving or water activities should consider choosing another island.

Great choice to visit Ari Atoll, with great quality facilities and caring staff.

Liked:Nice location and house reef. Very well equipped gym. Dive center very professional. The hotel staff effectively solved one issue when our luggage was lost. Good quality and variety of food.

Disliked:May be the dive center was a bit too keen to sell extra services on a very expensive rate card. The staff was very attentive at all times but their efforts at initiating conversation with the guests sometimes a little bit too much. For some guests like us is about family time and have our own family conversations.

The property can be reached by a seaplane. All seaplane journeys are made during daylight hours. Round trip Seaplane charges would be applied as follows; Seaplane transfer charges are as follows: Till 31st Oct 2026 USD 611.33 per Adult round trip (including all tax) USD 366.80 per Child (2-11.99yrs) round trip (including all tax) From 1st November 2026 to 31st October 2027. USD 643.50 per Adult round trip (including all tax) USD 450.45 per Child (2-11.99yrs) round trip (including all tax) Travel from to catch the last seaplane transfer for the day, guests must check in at the seaplane counter at the airport before 4 pm. Arrival guests who are not able to check-in at the seaplane counter by 4 pm will be required to stay overnight in Malé. We recommend booking a hotel within proximity to the airport. For international departure flights starting from 9:30 till late evening, seaplane transfers will be arranged from the resort to the airport. The operator provides the resort with schedules in the evening prior to arrival and departures. As such, all schedule timings are solely at the discretion of the seaplane management. Please share your flight details with the property at least 3 days before your arrival to secure your seat(s) for the transfer. Please inform OUTRIGGER Maldives Maafushivaru Resort of your expected arrival time in advance.
