Solid base for business in Decatur—great location for dining and hiking

Liked:I stayed here for 4 nights on a recent business trip. We were meeting at a local wework and warehouse nearby, and the hotel served as a functional home base, though there is definitely room for improvement in the hospitality department. Check-in was very fast, which I appreciated after a long flight. However, the receptionist lacked basic customer service skills and was a bit grumpy, which set a lukewarm tone for the stay. The room and bathroom were "ok"—clean and functional for work, but nothing special. Note that housekeeping only comes every 2 days. I’d recommend skipping the in-house food. It’s expensive and the quality doesn't match the price. The good news is that the hotel’s location is fantastic; we found several excellent dining options within walking distance that were much better value. The hotel worked well for our commute to the local warehouse area. A huge plus was the proximity to Stone Mountain; we managed to fit in a hike up the mountain, which is quite close and a great way to decompress after work meetings.

I was able to receive their special rate for my entire 8 day stay👏🏾 Everyone from our front desk staff, your wait staff, to your cleaning staff was so friendly and accommodating🫂 I really enjoyed your accessibility to so many & various eateries within walking distance of your hotel! My favorite stop was Folk Art🧆👏🏾 I REALLY LOVED THEIR GRITS👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Overall, staying at your Atlanta/Decatur Marriott Hotel make helped to make my friend’s Celebration of Her Life even more Special! I would love to stay here again when the area & would highly recommend it to my family and friends👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
