Good place to stay in a convenient location. Lovely ambience

Old, loud, shabby facility - rate is double what this level of accommodation should command.

Liked:The facilities person came out to try and fix the tv. I believe he truly tried, but TV was broken. Person in breakfast area helped me find coffee after i've searched for 10 minutes - all carafes had been emptied earlier and no coffee was to be found.

Disliked:Where to start? Rude, inattentive staff at check-in (traveling with an almost 91 year old I politely asked for a quiet room if possible). The answer was - without looking up - "you'll get what you booked, you need to pay attention when you book." I was not asking for anything above what I had booked - simply inquiring if there WAS a room on a quieter side. Not insisting. Two (!) huge pieces on chewed gum on the edge of the tub. I have photos. Fridge did not work. TV only had one channel which also flickered. There were spots on the towels. My pillowcase smelled of dirty hair and generally unwashed laundry. Disgusting.

Liked:The location was convenient off the highway.

Disliked:The front desk was very disorganized, rude and overall seemed like they were bothered by anyone including myself. After check-in my family and I walked to our room and saw a staff member outside smoking marijuana. The entire hallway smelled like marijuana and strong air freshener to cover up mildew. Once inside our room we saw a stained couch, dirty carpet, a mildew smell in the air and black mold on the AC unit. When I called the front desk I was told they had no other rooms, with two weddings and a hockey team staying as well. Then I was offered a handicap room or another room like mine but still stained and smelled. So I accepted the handicap room. There were no extra pillows for the pull out couch and it took some time to finally get some delivered to my room after asking three different times. The shower kept clogging when in use. The carpets still stained places. The bed was very wobbly and uncomfortable. It was not worth the $200 I spent for the night.
