Liked:Ich war insgesamt sehr enttäuscht von meinem Aufenthalt. Als ich früh am Morgen auschecken wollte, war die Rezeption unbesetzt – im ganzen Hotel war keine Ansprechperson zu finden. Ich habe längere Zeit gewartet und sogar versucht, telefonisch Kontakt aufzunehmen – leider ohne Erfolg. Was mich besonders beunruhigt hat: Die Außentür des Hotels stand weit offen, sodass theoretisch jeder unkontrolliert ins Gebäude gelangen konnte. Das halte ich für ein ernstzunehmendes Sicherheitsrisiko und keineswegs akzeptabel – weder für mich noch für andere Gäste. Zudem war ich sehr überrascht, dass es in einem so großen Hotel keinen Aufzug gibt. Beim Tragen meines schweren Koffers bekam ich keine Hilfe vom Personal – das ist nicht gerade serviceorientiert.

Building site and no service

Liked:No one manned the reception and the hotel was still being renovated. The hotel should not have taken our booking as it really wasn’t open properly. I chose it as it claimed to have a restaurant and bar neither of which was open due to the refurbishment. Although our room was clean and ready, most rooms were not. Tradesmen were wandering around, leaving a mess, cigarette smoke etc in public areas. The floors were filthy with plaster dust/ paint etc. It was noisy due to the work and the roadworks directly outside. Frankly we didn’t want to be on the premises. There was no apology for our discomfort. We should have been given the option to cancel, as they clearly knew the works would not be completed before we arrived.
