Liked:Saff is phenomenal. They go above and to make sure your stay goes well. Jermaine greets you with a smile and a handshake every time you arrive. Ana delivers exceptional service in the LAK restaurant and room service as well.

Hidden Gem

Liked:Merriweather checked off just about every box for me. I tend to bounce around from hotel to hotel while business because I like variety and I find most hotels to be about the same. Merriweather might just be the one exception. To start with the cons. I prefer my bed more on the plush side, the beds at Merriweather are more on the firmer side, that’s truly my biggest complaint. I also felt the coffee at the hotel could’ve been better. Im a bit picky about my coffee so it could be just me. Thats all i have. The pros: Great service, they know how to treat their Bonvoy elite members, got upgraded with no hesitation to a junior suite with a lake view and got breakfast voucher for each day of my stay. They have self-parking directly across from the hotel, easy getting in and out. The lake Kittamaqundi is the star of the show. A lap runs about 30 minutes depending on which route you choose to take. The lake is beautiful and well put together, I enjoyed walking the trail every day during my stay. Whole Foods is a short 5-7 minute walk. Plenty of shops within a 15 minute radius. Gym is standard, equipped with peloton bikes, treadmills, free weights, etc Overall, I strongly recommend and would consider future stays while visiting Maryland.
