Loud traffic noise all night, rude front desk person, great breakfast staff

Liked:I am a Gold Elite member of Marriott, so I have rated many Marriott hotels. I had heard this hotel has loud traffic noise, so I requested a quiter room. The woman who checked me in stated that all the rooms are loud with traffic noise, and seemed annoyed I ever requested this. She stated we have highways on both sides of us, so of course you will have traffic noise. The traffic noise continues all night, as many trucks use the ramp by the hotel to get on the highway. In the morning, when we checked out , the same person was on duty at the front desk, and when I said the noise was loud all night, she stated " I told you the rooms were loud when you checked in, if you have a complaint you can e-mail Heather the manager". So I would have to give customer service a low rating at this hotel. On the positive side, the breakfast was very good and Nadia, who works the breakfast area was polite and very accomdating, offering to make just about anything you requested. Maybe she should be giving customer service lessons to the front desk staff!! I would conclude by saying this is your typical Fairfield Inn, needing some updating and front desk customer service training. Do not stay here if traffic noise bothers you or you are a light sleeper. I usually put my reviews also on the Marriott website, however I did not get an e-mail survey from them this time to do so. Maybe not all guests get to fill them out, but would't that make it a biased survey?
