Wonderful historical hotel experience and a great alternative to boring chain hotels.

Liked:The hotel has great historical significance and stepping into the lobby is like going back in time. It’s very clean, comfortable, and the front desk staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Disliked:We were disappointed that the saloon was not open the night of our stay.

It was extremely terrible, we were only there for about 10 minutes and left.

Liked:Nothing, at all. Place smelled.

Disliked:Staff rude. Gave me a difficult time because of my service dog. We were put in a dark room with a desk like on the table for dinner. We left immediately. They charged me twice, once before we even checked in. We did get a refund on one and we cancelled the booking. Place smelled.

Historic and pet friendly hotel

Liked:The hotel has lots of history and is pretty charming. It accepts dogs which worked well for our stay. Our room was somewhat disappointing though…It was small, dark, and the view was the rooftop of the adjoining bar. It is also situated near railroad tracks, so we experienced a “My Cousin Vinny” moment early in the morning. The free breakfast was good with a nice quiche and steel cut oatmeal. Most of the restaurants (including the hotel restaurant) were not open the first half of the week, so options were very limited.

Disliked:The history and unique turn of the century furnishings. We also enjoyed the coffee shop across the street from the hotel.
