They don’t care about their customers.

Liked:I stay in hotels 200+ days per year and this is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. We checked into this hotel at 3am after working, asked for a late checkout at 12 instead of 11 and they said they do not offer that. Then in the morning I go to take a shower and there absolutely no hot water at all. It took an hour for the maintenance guy to show up and they didn’t even fix it. Skip this hotel and go to a place that cares about their customers. I would not stay here again if it were the only remaining hotel on earth.

Incompetent clerk and manager

Liked:I am specifically referring to the Comfort Inn in Garner. I made a reservation and cancelled the same day. The clerk never gave a confirmation number nor gave me a cancelation number. However, they were quick to charge for 2 nights but refused a refund because they say they could not prove I cancelled even though the clerk said, "no problem, she will take care of it". The manager obviously does not know one thing about customer service and believed an incompetent clerk over a good guest. I would skip this hotel if I were you.

NO SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED?

Liked:Our stay was very pleasant until shift change later in the evening. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT ALLOW SERVICE ANIMALS PER THE FRONT DESK AT EVENING TIME. we checked in at daybreak, no issues. I highly recommend this “owner” reviews the ADA laws regarding service animals. Not only did they disregard the laws of a service dog, the front desk lady threatened to call the cops when we just asked to speak to the “manager or owner about this issue. This place is super unprofessional, and the front desk attendant with the blonde hair was super disrespectful. She hangs out outside with her buddies; avoiding the front desk. Our room also had a dirty bathroom with a tub full of water and old soap. Everything else was standard. SERVICE ANIMAL HANDLERS STEAR CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL. THEY WILL CHECK YOU IN, take your money and then kick you out.

Not worth the money spent!!!

Liked:The card scanners didn’t work and you had to scan your card multiple times at all scanners/doors. The water pressure was extremely low. The headboard for the bed and the left headboard lamp were knocked loose and crooked. The room guidelines stated housekeeping will come every three days unless called for. They entered the room while we were gone on the second day. Not really a bad thing if valuables, credit cards, jewelry, and cash weren’t left out. They literally touched and moved all of the above to clean the desk. I noticed there was no syrup out for the waffles. The concierge opened two cabinets and immediately said they were out. He didn’t even check the kitchen or the other cabinets. There was a large bowl of syrup there days before when breakfast was over and I was the first one at breakfast this morning. They had some, he was just too lazy to look for it. He did let me grab coffee prior to the breakfast area hours which was nice. The window blinds didn’t close completely and let a good account of light in. I’m glad I packed body wash. There was none in the room. The tray for the coffee maker was completely wet with a pool of water when we arrived. Overall, this was not a 130 dollar a night hotel stay. Nice location to Clayton, but definitely not worth the price!!!
