Liked:We booked this hotel for 2 nights prior to a cruise. First impression was very much one of faded glory and it is pretty run down. A couple of hours after having checked in we realised that we had made a mistake and also booked another (and nicer) hotel. The receptionist refused to refund the second night. He quoted that cancellation notice was 2 days but clearly had no intention of showing any kind of flexibility. In such a situation, it would be normal in hospitality especially when the hotel is full and they could resell the room with high probability. They did not even propose to refund in case they could resell the room.
