Disappointing

Liked:The proximity to Thorpe Park.

Disliked:The reviews are misleading. The boat is grotty and in desperate need of an update. We I arrived in London having traveled from Cheshire, before I got to the boat I got a call from the owner to say the main bathroom was out of bounds due to a broken shower and blocked toilet. I was offered a free stay next year which I declined given I’d never seen the accommodation, we agreed a refund for that night, I provided my bank details immediately as requested and never got a reply or a refund. When chased the owner said it was on its way. I had to involve booking.com and via them I was told they could not resolve it with the owner and they paid me £27 as compensation. Aside from the bathroom issue, it was not worth the money I paid.

The Boat Stay that didn’t happen

Liked:So looking forward to staying here with my nieces for their graduation present.

Disliked:They cancelled my booking 24 hours before arriving as apparently the toilet had been blocked up. Looking at recent reviews before I went there seemed to be a problem with the bathroom facilities. When you’ve already booked and paid for activities within the area, cancelling 24 hours before was NOT ideal. I was told I could stay in a travel lodge. If I wanted a travel lodge I would have booked that in the first place. Thankfully I found a blessing in disguise location, it did cost me more money though as such short notice but the few days away was not ruined. I have received a refund but it still gave me the ump.

Lovely unique way to spend a leisurely evening

Liked:I think the location was beautiful and quiet.

Disliked:Unfortunately the one toilet and shower wasn't working and in fairness the owner called to let me know but only 2 hours before we were due to leave.

disappointing

Liked:Great location for thorpe park & Paige was very friendly & helpful.

Disliked:Unfortunately the boat itself was pretty dire, extremely dated and not very clean. Whole thing needs to be gutted & refurbished. We decided not to stay on the boat in the end & slept elsewhere.
