What Guests Say

8.0

Excellent

1,007 reviews

Highlights

+Great location near airport, shopping and stores
+Generally clean rooms and comfortable beds
+Good hot breakfast with many choices
+Helpful and responsive staff
+Family-friendly features (pool/water slide) and on-site laundry
+Good room size for families

Could Improve

–Water slide and some gym equipment frequently out of service
–Dated rooms and visible wear (carpet, curtains, noisy beds)
–Perceived as overpriced/instances of overcharging
–Occasional unpleasant room smells and missed housekeeping
–Underwhelming game room and limited restaurant hours

Cleanliness8.2

Rooms and property were generally described as clean and comfortable, though a few guests reported a 'wet dog' smell, carpet in rooms, and one instance of missed housekeeping.

Service9.5

Staff were repeatedly described as helpful and easy to deal with (assisting with taxis, responsive at desk). There were isolated issues (check-in delays due to a maintenance problem), but overall service sentiment is strongly positive.

Location9.5

Consistently praised for proximity to airport, shopping, and local stores; convenient for families and visitors, though a few noted it is a bit out of the city centre with short taxi rides required.

Room Quality7.0

Room size and comfort were positives for many, but multiple comments noted dated rooms, noisy beds, curtains that didn’t close well, visible wear (carpet), and occasional unpleasant smells.

Amenities7.0

Mixed amenities: the pool and water slide were a draw for families when working, but several guests reported the water slide and some gym equipment were out of order; game room and breakfast facilities received mixed reviews; on-site laundry was a plus.

Value for Money6.5

Multiple guests felt the hotel was overpriced for what was provided, with at least one report of being overcharged; several described the stay as expensive for a basic/dated property.

Food and Beverage8.3

Breakfast was frequently called good and a highlight (hot breakfast, lots of choices) by many guests, though some found the breakfast disappointing or limited (e.g., no bacon) and the on-site restaurant not always open.

Overall Experience8.0

Overall impressions are mixed-to-positive: many guests said they'd stay again and praised cleanliness, location, and family-friendly features, while others were disappointed by dated facilities, out-of-service amenities, and value concerns.

Huge disappointment

Liked:Breakfast was mediocre for the price

Disliked:Bug found in the bathroom, 1 bedroom suite turned out to be a room divide by a short wall. I heard my husband snoring all night. Paid half the price for a beautiful suite in Halifax.
