It was a disappointing stay.

Liked:The location was noisy but located close to amenities.

Disliked:We expected a boutique elevated experience as stated on the website. We sadly did not have that experience. Upon opening the door the evening of our arrival, we were greeted by an overwhelming strong musty smell. We turned on the lights in the living room to see the large floor rug bunched up against the wall. We had to lift the sofa sleeper and coffee table to move the rug as it was a tripping hazard. There was lint, hair and bobby pins on the hardwood floor downstairs. Not a great welcome. The paint was very chipped in the upstairs bathrooms, shower handle did not work in the tub bathroom, the tub was chipped, and the musty smell was worse in the closets. The shampoo and body washes were also not full enough for our 6 days stay, Again, I did not see or feel the modern excellence or boutique elevated experience. Breakfast: Our first 2 mornings there was no hot food, yogurt or fruit. We were in the parlor at promptly at 8 then 8:15 and again at 9. Disappointing. There were also other guests who were there waiting for breakfast......It was not a happy group. On one positive note, All breakfast items were available over the weekend.

Love Charlston and your home certainly represents the Old Town.

Liked:Breakfast was ok. Should have juices and possibly some southern baked goods.

Disliked:Place was freezing downstairs and the upstairs was hot. We used the little heaters.

Liked:Parking, snacks and drinks very helpful for travellers. Nice to have two bedrooms and three bathrooms. Worked well for us.

Disliked:The stairs were squeaky. Would like to have half and half available for coffee.
