The stay was extremely disappointing reservation not honored

Liked:This booking was a disaster from start to finish!!!!

Disliked:After a very long car ride (6 hours) to attend a family gathering this destination Hilton Home2Suites did not have my confirmed room, which I booked well in advance. I was suppose to have a Corner Room King Suite for my (2) day stay. This was a HUGE disappointment. There was some sort of kid baseball tournament going on, so I presume a family got our reserved room. The staff put the entire blame on Booking.com fault. I have never had this happen with Booking.com even in much finer establishments, where my confirmed reservation was a stated and ready for us upon our arrival. I was assigned another room instead. I said, "I hope this isn't near the elevator, or ice machine". It was. They changed us to another room, yet again. The second room wasn't quite ready from the previous guests and it was apparent. This room was down the end of the hallway, next to some utility room that was noisy & loud all night long. This was the worst booking, and we paid a premium to stay close to our family gathering. The check out was even worse! The hotel personal could not locate us and when she did, she had an extra night tagged on. More time spent correcting another error. The departure was just as upsetting as the arrival.
