Very special atmosphere & good value for money with excellent dinner!

Liked:If you just want to relax in a nice atmosphere this place is prefect as it offers just 4 (spacious) rooms, which gives you more privacy than in a big hotel. The bathrooms are modern and huge (with shower & extra bath tub). The WiFi is pretty good and you get extra towels for the pool or for the beach. On top of this you can rent a kayak/canoe and snorkel equipment for free. We extended our stay to 4 nights and booked breakfast & dinner and - what a surprise: The dinner (3 courses) was excellent!!! It changed every day and you have always 2 options for the starter and the main course. The dessert was always a nice, delicious surprise. A special thanks to the cook, Pradeep. He was so friendly and always busy in the kitchen during the day. The breakfast was very good as well and you can even ask for more, if you want (more fruits for example). A special thanks to the manageress, Ruwini, who always tried her best to meet our demands and she even organised a nice cake for my birthday and the cleaning ladies decorated our room and our dining table so nicely on this occasion. We also loved the huge pool and its illumination in the evenings. Last but not least a special thanks to the (always busy) gardener Chintana, who cleaned the pool every day as well and he picked us up by boat at Eden Marina and brought us back there on our departure day - always with a smile on his face. To conclude: we had a very pleasant stay at Villa de Cerf and we can highly recommend this place to other people looking for special options, when they plan their trip to the Seychelles.

Disliked:Nothing to complain about, we had a very pleasant stay on Île au Cerf. The villa definitely offers good value for money compared to other places we visited or looked at. If there is anything that might be improved, I would mention the "smoking area", but I think there are already plans to beautify it.

Great stay overall — peaceful, comfortable.

Liked:Our stay at Villa de Cerf went really well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The place is incredibly peaceful — perfect for relaxing and escaping from everyday life. It truly feels like having a private island all to ourselves. The small reef right in front is amazing, full of fish, and the water is wonderfully warm, around 30 °C, perfect for both snorkeling and relaxing swims.

Disliked:As a downside, I found the ferryboat price quite expensive.

Liked:The food was amazing, the room and bathroom were very spacious and clean . Pool and dining area were all clean, and the staff 10+

Disliked:The wardrobe was smelling very old and I end up keeping my clothes in the suitcase because of that . The beach area looks different than in the picture on booking.

Relaxing stay

Liked:The views over the sea to Mahe island and Viktoria city are amazing. The rooms are cosy and clean, the food in the restaurant tasted great, so the half board was a good option. The other possibilities to eat where the hotel next door and one beach bar, but these were an option only for lunch, as the access was only through the beach and not the best way to go in darkness.

Disliked:We planned to snorkel there, but the sea was too stormy and therefore the water was foggy. Unfortunately there is nothing else to do on that tiny island, there are no trails for hiking and was possible to walk only until the end of the beach. We ended up spending our time on the villa terrace reading books and admiring the view.

Important Information

Fine Print Rates include an arrival and a departure boat transfer at the below scheduled times: Please note that guests departing on flights earlier than 06 am and 18h00 onwards cannot be assisted. Eden Island Jetty, Mahe to Cerf Island : 10.30 AM AND 16.00 PM. Cerf Island to Eden Island Jetty, Mahe : 10.00 AM AND 15.30 PM. Should there be any international departures, the Management will exceptionally operate a boat transfer from Cerf Island to Eden Island Jetty at 13.30 hrs. Any boat transfer outside the above arrival and departure times incur a fee of EUR 15 per person return and EUR 7 per child return. Any boat transfer outside the schedule will incur a fee of EUR 30 per person and EUR 15 per child. Please note that guests departing the island earlier than 07:00 or after 18.00hrs cannot be assisted with a boat transfer as the early morning tide do not allow for vessels to depart from the jetty at Villa De Cerf. Please note that children under the age of 6 cannot be accommodated at the property. Please note the property is not located on the main island and inter-island transfer is provided at a fee. Cerf Island is a place where our clients want to get away from it all, a peaceful, beautiful island. But it has limited entertainment facilities outside the establishments for clients who wants to have fun during the day and evening, thus we recommend our clients to a maximum stay of 5 to 7 nights. We however would not recommend the property to solo travelers.Managed by a private host A deposit may be required at the property.
