Underwhelming motel conversion, not worth 700/night.

I was disappointed with the customer service and expected more for what we paid.

Liked:Great location, breakfast was wonderful, little touches at property and room were cute.

Disliked:When we arrived we noticed that the toilet was running and making noises. We told the staff and they said that they would have someone fix it. We came back in the evening and went to bed. The running water from the toilet kept us up. In the morning, we told the lady at the front and she said she had no record of this being fixed, but would send someone up to fix it. There was no apology or empathy. When I spend good money on a place, I expect better customer service. When I left the following morning, I discussed this with the gentleman at the front, who so happened to be the one that I told about the issue on the first night. He said he did tell someone etc. He apologized and said that the manager would contact me about this on Monday. I have yet to hear from them. I understand that things break, but how it was handled was not good. This is also the first time that I ever wrote a negative review and for me to do this says a lot.

Nice hotel

Liked:Location was great. Rooms and property were clean. Above all their staff was very friendly and helpful. They packed as much into their rooms as they could. Their lobby is nice with breakfast in the mornings and a nice outside patio to sit and relax.

Disliked:It is a very noisy hotel, because it is an older motel redone, there is nothing they can do about the noise I assume. You can hear everyone taking outside your room, doors slamming, cars in the parking lot, people walking around upstairs and just talking in general. Also the rooms are nicely done but again they are small and there is no counter space in the bathrooms. It is Carmel and pricey.
