Simply wonderful - A luxurious hotel with the highest of standards and away from the madness!

Liked:Cannot say enough about Candi Beach. It was the perfect respite far from the madding crowd down in Denpasar/Canguu etc...The hotel is a cross between resort and boutique - large enough to have amenities but small enough to feel intimate. The setting in the bay, the lush gardens, the tranquility, just lovely. Our Luxury Villa was magnificent, nestled in the trees with its own pool and cabana, matched with an uber spacious (85m2?), tasteful, marble/wood clad room full of light. Walk in double shower a treat. Our kids had a junior suite which was also fabulous with a large terrace and cabana. The spa was a delight, the 2 restaurants (Italian and International/Balinese) had a large and varied menu, breakfast buffet was fabulous (prepare to put on 1 kg or 2) and to top it all off the staff were beyond charming. Nothing was too much trouble and we were always greeted with a smile and warmth.

Disliked:The beach in Candidasa is currently closed as part of a government sea wall protection programme. So no direct beach access at the moment. We knew this and it did not detract from our stay at all. The hotel arranged a daily shuttle to a nearby beach which was fab. But once open again it will be the icing on the cake!

Liked:The rooms were clean and spacious with great planting around them. We were close to both pools. We could hear the sea at night. The staff were all exceptional and attentive. Polls were always clean. The breakfast food choice was incredible, everything delicious and high quality.

Disliked:We found the shelf above the toilet was too close to the cistern and also because of its slats we couldn’t store things on it.
