Liked:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were nice.

Disliked:The neighborhood is near Brussel-Noord which is apparently sketchy? We didn't have any problems but the lady at the reception was very adamant we stay away from the station at night

Liked:There was honestly very little I liked about my stay. The overall experience was extremely disappointing from check-in until I finally got a room.

Disliked:My stay at a&o Brussels Centrum was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. At check-in, reception told me I still had to pay more even though I had already paid the full amount. I showed proof of payment, but I was still made to wait for around an hour and could not check in until after 4 PM. Unfortunately, things got even worse after check-in. The first room and bed I was given were not clean. I reported it and was moved to another room, but that room was also poorly cleaned, with hair all over the bed and sheets. I was then moved again, and the next room was also unacceptable. The sheets were dirty and covered with hair, the table was dusty, and I could see what appeared to be bedbugs. After all of that, I was assigned yet another room, where the bathroom lock was broken. Having to change rooms multiple times because of basic cleanliness and maintenance problems is completely unacceptable. After paying for accommodation, guests should at least be able to expect clean bedding, a properly cleaned room, and functioning facilities. This was easily the worst hostel experience I have ever had. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here. It simply was not worth the money, inconvenience, or stress.

Kids under the age of 18 enjoy our breakfast at a 50% discounted rate. Children under 18 should have parental permission if not accompanied by parents and can only be accommodated in private rooms, not in shared dormitories. Please note that pets are only allowed in private rooms like single and twin room and for an additional charge. Pets are not allowed in shared dorms. Towels are not included in the room rate of dorm rooms. Guests can rent them at the property for an additional charge or bring their own.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. A deposit may be required at the property.
