Best location for the worst hotel.

Liked:Great location.
Disliked:The lobby was the best part. There is parking outside your building, which you pay for. The front desk told me that there was parking in a garage for another fee if the building lot is full. My room was strange and had a double door to a small shared hallway to get into, though one key to access both rooms? They told me it was a lock-off style room. It felt like anyone could just go in. The refrigerator and some drawers were open and the carpet was stained. Low ceilings and old furniture / decor. The TV was small and looked circa 2008ish. The fridge had faux wood paneling on the front which looked like it dated to the late 70s. I requested a different room. The second room was a standard hotel room. The ceiling was low, window didn’t open, the tub was too shallow to take a bath, didn’t drain, and the shower was placed at my chest height. The furniture was scratched and old, with an old tv. No safe. Same stained carpet and a musty smell. It got warm while I was there and was dumbfounded to see that the rooms DO NOT have air conditioning. I suffered through it. The layout is horrendous. The convention center is located slope side, not the hotel. So you have to navigate across several bridges to get to the slopes. And the bridges are on different levels. And the elevator from the lobby doesn’t go to the rooms, only from the bridge to the parking entrance. So to go from your car to your room to the slopes, you have to hope there’s parking, go through one lobby, hope you got the correct elevator, go to your room, come down the same elevator, navigate around the lobby to the adjacent elevator to go to the bridge level, cross two bridges to the conference center, take another elevator to the ski locker level (which isn’t accessible from inside), and walk around the conference center. It’s like they were expecting conference attendees and not hotel guests to ski.
