Room Completely Different from the Photos

Disliked:I had a very disappointing experience. The main issue was that the room I was given was completely different from the one shown in the Booking photos. The listing showed a room with a queen bed, street view, large windows, plenty of natural light, a more open layout, and a larger bathroom with a bathtub. The room I actually received had bunk beds, a small bathroom with no ventilation, and a small window facing an internal shaft. Another issue was the difficulty accessing the property. There were three different access codes: one for the building entrance, another to enter the hotel, and a third to open the room door. This made the arrival process unnecessarily confusing and inconvenient. As soon as I got to the room, I contacted the property immediately, but communication was very difficult. The phones were not being answered, there was no WhatsApp, and I was only able to get a response through the platform chat. They asked for photos, so I had to send them by email and wait for a reply. In the end, they admitted the issue but said that changing rooms was not possible because the hotel was fully booked. They reserved a room for me that I am not even sure really exists, and the compensation offered was only 10%, which was almost insulting and completely disproportionate to the problem. I tried to resolve the issue, but they refused, claiming it was only a different bed configuration when in fact the entire room was different from what had been advertised.If I had seen the real photos of the place, I would never have made the reservation. Very bad experience. Another negative point was that the shower did not heat properly and the sink was quite dirty, which made the experience even worse. I only stayed because it was already late and I could not find another place to stay in time. I would not return, and I strongly recommend extra caution, as the photos do not match the actual room.

Quiet atmosphere, good central place for exploring the city.

Liked:Great location right next to commons.

Disliked:There were some repairs that needed to be made such as painting, top bunk didn’t have a rail on one side and our TV didn’t work. The building was older but overall fine.

Great to be in Boston, great to be in walking distance to everything, no sleep due to street noise

Liked:There was no breakfast (?) Good about getting codes and emails with information. Good location, and central in Boston, able to get transportation fairly easy. Close to everything we wanted to do. Fairly clean. Able to talk to someone fairly quick after our door key did not work on our second evening there.

Disliked:Dirty/used towel behind door. Locked out and had to get a new key number second evening. Left early morning to catch a flight, 3:30 AM and a shifty young man was at our door, we did not feel safe. First night no sleep due to street noise, mainly a motorcycle with loud music and revving up his engine as loud as possible throughout the night.
