Extremely disappointed

Disliked:One star because of the complete lack of empathy and understanding during a medical emergency. We are extremely disappointed with the way the hotel handled our situation. We booked two nights here. During our very first night, at around 4:00 AM, my wife suddenly became seriously unwell and we had to leave the hotel and go directly to the emergency room. She was admitted to the hospital, and because of her condition, we were unable to return to the hotel. We contacted the hotel, explained clearly that my wife had been hospitalized, and asked to check out as early as possible. We simply asked whether they could refund us for the second night that we obviously would not be using, or at least offer some reasonable alternative. We had barely spent a few hours at the hotel before the emergency happened. We did not have breakfast, barely had the opportunity to use any of the hotel facilities, and by 4:00 AM we were already on our way to the hospital. Despite explaining the circumstances, the hotel was unwilling to make any exception or show any meaningful flexibility. We understand that hotels have policies, but this was not a change of plans, dissatisfaction with the room, or a decision to leave early for convenience. My wife was unexpectedly hospitalized. We were not asking for special treatment without reason. We were asking for some basic understanding during a genuine medical emergency. What makes this even more disappointing is that we actually liked the hotel itself during the very short time we were able to spend there. Unfortunately, our experience with the service and the way this situation was handled completely changed our impression. For us, hospitality is not just about providing a nice room. It is also about how you treat your guests when they find themselves in a difficult and unexpected situation.

Liked:The best hotel I have stayed in Koh Samui (my 20th time) The Villa, The Staff, The Location close to night market, The Pools the Sea and all around I do not understand why Celes Samui do not have 5 Star rating? My family was super happy, we will be back again next time
