Could Improve

–Some rooms and furniture described as old, dusty or not fully clean
–No air conditioning in rooms (can be warm in summer)
–Light and sound insulation issues for street-facing rooms (thin curtains, street noise)
–Rooms can be small; no elevator in parts of the hotel; occasional weak Wi‑Fi

Cleanliness7.0

Several guests reported dusty/old furniture and rooms not being very clean (dust under bed, 'old and dirty' furniture).

Service9.8

Repeated praise for extremely friendly, helpful staff and exceptional service (several mentions of very kind personnel and specific host praise).

Location9.8

Consistently noted as excellent: central Mitte location, close to tram/metro, yet peaceful and quiet — great access to transport.

Room Quality7.2

Mixed feedback: cosy but some rooms are small, older bathrooms/radiators, uncomfortable beds for some, and light/sound insulation issues on street-facing rooms.

Amenities9.2

Standout garden, self-service drinks/coffee area, bike storage and a pleasant atmosphere; downsides noted include no AC in rooms, no elevator in some parts and occasional weak Wi‑Fi.

Value for Money8.0

Generally good value for the garden rooms and location, but a few guests felt the price was high for certain street-facing or smaller/older rooms.

Food and Beverage9.5

Breakfast repeatedly praised (described as great, varied buffet) and enjoyed in the garden; food service viewed very positively.

Overall Experience9.9

Many guests called it a 'hidden gem' with a lovely atmosphere, highly recommended for a weekend stay — quiet, charming garden and excellent staff make for a strong overall impression.

Comfortable hotel in the centre of things.

Liked:Great location up the road from Nordbahnhof, with easy access to museums and historic sites. Attractive garden, and very peaceful if you get one of the garden-facing rooms. The All About cafe 10 minutes up the road is a great brunch spot.

Disliked:No coffee in the room, although there is a coffee machine for guests to use in reception.
