Stylish hotel with good facilities in an ok area of Berlin.

Liked:We contemplated between Hoxton in Charlottenburg and Sly in Friedrichshain and went for Sly as the hotel has a wellness area and looked more stylish and is more 'off the beaten track'. We found the hotel very stylish indeed, especially the greenhouse restaurant was amazing. We didn't have breakfast or dinner, but we did enjoy a cocktail at the greenhouse which was lovely. The staff was a mixed bag, most of them were friendly however. The room was very nice, the bed extremely comfortable. We had a room in the grey house, which was off the courtyard bordering the greenhouse. I imagine it could get noisy at night as people will enjoy a drink there until late. I used the gym twice, which is decent and probably suits most people but it would have been nice if there was a bike in there. The wellness was nicely set up, but only has a Finnish sauna and a relaxing area on the top floor (with very nice views across the city). We found the area a little disappointing. The fact that there were road works outside the hotel didn't help but this is of course not something the hotel controls. There is an M bahn stop less than a 5 mins walk from the hotel which serves many parts of the city, so the hotel is well connected. We took the M10 towards the East Side Gallery and then crossed into Kreuzberg, which we really enjoyed. It is a 30min ride to Hauptbahnhof and it took us about 50 mins to get from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is nice but for us it was lacking liveliness, there were very few guest during our stay and the restaurant was quiet at night.

Disliked:Some staff members weren't the friendliest. The hotel wasn't very lively.

Suitable for FHAIN

Liked:The staff, water pressure and the bed were superb! Loved the plants!

Disliked:The gym is separated from the sauna and chill out area. The sauna floor and the area above are way too hot. Doors are pretty heavy. To dark for my taste.
