Liked:Great rooms

Disliked:Staff needs more training, feels like a bunch of school age trainees. Very young staff that seems easily overwhelmed, especially when lots of people are standing in line.

Good hotel overall, but the lack of air conditioning during the heat made our stay less comfortable.

Liked:Overall, we had a good impression of the hotel. It is spacious, clean and very well located, making it convenient for exploring Berlin. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool, which were a nice addition to our stay.

Disliked:The main issue was that the air conditioning in our room was not working during very hot weather, around 35°C. At first, we were told the hotel was fully booked, although rooms were still available online. Eventually, we were moved to another room, but we had to move everything ourselves without any assistance. We expected better service from a five-star hotel.

Great location and friendly staff, but not quite a 5-star experience

Liked:The hotel has a great location, beautiful design, and good facilities. The staff were also genuinely very friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated being offered a late check-out. The pool and saunas were really pleasant as well!

Disliked:I was a bit disappointed by the overall experience (especially considering the hotel rates themselves as 5-star). The walls in rooms are quite thin, so you can hear doors closing and noise from other rooms. Our room also had a connecting door to the neighbouring room, which felt unusual from a privacy perspective. There were also some cleanliness/maintenance issues, including stains on the curtains and on the wall. The breakfast was good, but nothing exceptional. What I found most disappointing was the way breakfast service was handled towards closing time. Although breakfast officially ended at 10:30, staff started reminding guests at around 10:20 that the buffet was closing, and shortly afterwards began clearing plates and even trying to take away unfinished coffee. It made us feel rushed and not particularly welcome.
