Lovely detached property, great for a family to use, next to a noisey train line though.

Liked:It's a nice spacious house which is detached, it is decorated nicely and has some lovely features. It has a couple of big shower bathrooms, aswell as a downstairs toilet. The 3 bedrooms are a nice size and it's great that one of the bedrooms has 2 single beds, because our son's hate sharing a double bed when we go away anywhere! The beds are very comfortable, with nice pillows which aren't too soft or too firm. It could do with having a sheet on top though, the duvet alone was too hot and heavy for the summer time. Barnetby itself is a nice little village, the house is close by to a corner shop, a post office and a little cafe/restaurant/takeaway. There's also a lovely little playing field with football nets and a children's playground area which our daughter loved. We would definitely come back and stay here.

Disliked:The property needs a bigger TV! It's far too small! More kitchen knives for food prep and some wooden spoons are needed. Another frying pan is needed. The garden is an eye sore, it needs tidying up with a lawn put in. Nobody can go out and sit in it/use it. Not keen on the clothes hanging device in the master bedroom, plenty of drawers though. Would have been nice to have a heads up that there's a train line opposite the property with freight trains and passenger trains running in the day and night, it was very noisy at times! Fortunately our son is a train enthusiast and he loved seeing all the trains going by. We couldn't get the electric oven to work, so we emailed the owner to get them to resolve the issue, it was eventually resolved on the second day of our stay, by the mantainance manager of the house, who lives in the village.
