Atlanta hotels with EV charging and verified sustainability credentials

Every hotel listed here operates in Atlanta, has on-property EV charging we could confirm through PlugShare or the hotel's own amenities page, and publishes property-level sustainability data through a recognized brand program. Hotels with EV charging in Atlanta are common, but pairing that amenity with a verifiable sustainability credential narrows the field. Generic brand pledges and unverified claims did not qualify any property.

How we selected these Atlanta hotels

Each property on this list passed two checks: confirmed EV charging access and a verified sustainability credential. For sustainability, we searched the US Green Building Council's LEED project database, the Green Key Global directory, the Energy Star certified buildings registry, and individual brand sustainability reports. A hotel qualified at Tier 1 only if we could find its record in one of those official directories with a dated listing. Where we could not confirm a listing, we demoted the hotel to Tier 2, which requires a published, property-level metric tied to a named brand program.

For EV charging, we checked each hotel's own amenities page, cross-referenced PlugShare and brand EV charging pages, and noted the charger type where listed. Hotels that did not confirm on-site charging through one of those sources were removed.

Before you book: EV charging tips for Atlanta hotel stays

  • Call ahead to confirm the number of charging stalls. Popular downtown hotels can have as few as two Level 2 chargers, and they fill up on weekends.
  • Ask whether the hotel charges a fee for EV charging. Some Atlanta properties include it with parking; others bill separately at a per-kWh rate.
  • If the hotel lists charging as 'available nearby,' ask for the specific garage name and confirm it has public access before you arrive.
  • Hyatt Regency Atlanta's Tesla HPWC stalls are in the motor lobby of the parking deck and are coordinated through the valet team, so plan to hand off the car on arrival.
  • MARTA's Five Points and Peachtree Center stations put you within a 10-minute walk of most downtown hotels on this list, which cuts how often you need the car at all.

What Tier 1 and Tier 2 mean for your stay

A Tier 1 certification like LEED or Energy Star means an independent auditor reviewed the building's actual energy, water, and materials data before issuing the credential. You can look up the property yourself in the USGBC or EPA registry and confirm it. Tier 2 means the hotel's parent brand published a sustainability report with this specific property's results, such as a documented reduction in water use or a confirmed switch to renewable electricity, but no external body audited those numbers.

For most travelers, Tier 2 still beats a hotel with nothing at all. If independent verification is a hard requirement for you, check the USGBC and Green Key Global directories directly and book only from the properties you find there. For Atlanta hotels that already hold those credentials, see our Green Key certified hotels.

FAQs

Common Questions

Yes. Every hotel on this list has confirmed on-property EV charging, either in a hotel-owned parking garage or a dedicated area inside the building's parking facility. None of the four require you to walk to a separate third-party garage.

Tier 1 hotels hold a certification from an independent body such as LEED, Green Key, or Energy Star, with a record you can find in the official directory. An external auditor reviewed actual building performance before issuing the credential. Tier 2 hotels publish property-level sustainability data through a brand program, but no external body has audited those numbers. Both tiers represent tracked credentials; Tier 1 carries independent verification.

Atlanta has LEED- and Energy Star-linked hotels, but pairing a currently listed third-party certification with confirmed on-site EV charging produced no matches we could verify in the official USGBC and EPA directories as of early 2026. Where we could not confirm a listing, we demoted the hotel to Tier 2 instead of claiming a credential we could not document. We update this page when a verified Tier 1 property emerges.

Our research did not surface any Atlanta hotels with confirmed Green Key or EarthCheck certification that also have verified EV charging as of early 2026. For a broader list of Atlanta hotels by certification type regardless of EV, see our eco-friendly hotels in Atlanta page.

All four hotels sit within a 7-minute walk of a MARTA station. [Signia by Hilton Atlanta](/hotels/atlanta-signia-by-hilton-atlanta-georgia-world-congress-center) is the closest at 2 minutes from the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center station. [Loews Atlanta Hotel](/hotels/atlanta-loews-atlanta-hotel) is 4 minutes from Midtown station. Both [Atlanta Marriott Marquis](/hotels/atlanta-atlanta-marriott-marquis) and [Hyatt Regency Atlanta](/hotels/atlanta-hyatt-regency-atlanta) are within 4 minutes of Peachtree Center station.

Policies vary by property and can change. Some hotels include EV charging in the overnight parking rate; others bill separately. Call the hotel before arrival to confirm the current rate and whether you need to reserve a stall in advance, particularly on weekends when downtown parking fills quickly.
