Hotels near Centennial Olympic Park, Atlanta, within a 10-minute walk

Every hotel on this list sits within a 10-minute walk of Centennial Olympic Park, drawn from four Downtown Atlanta neighborhoods: Luckie-Marietta, Peachtree Center, Fairlie-Poplar, and South Downtown. Hotels are ranked first by verified walking distance, then by star rating, then by documented sustainability practices. All five were checked for current operating status as of 2026.

How we ranked these hotels

Walking distance came first. Each hotel address was mapped against the nearest park entrance, and any property beyond 1 mile was cut. Within the same distance band (plus or minus 0.1 miles), a higher star rating moved a hotel up. Where star ratings matched, documented sustainability practices broke the tie.

The park covers about 22 acres between Marietta Street to the north, Centennial Olympic Park Drive to the east, Andrew Young International Boulevard to the south, and Northside Drive to the west. We picked from at least three sides so travelers staying on the wrong block aren't stuck with a longer walk than the list implies. Keep in mind Centennial Yards is under active development immediately south of the park, and some pedestrian routes on that side shift as construction continues.

Getting around from Centennial Olympic Park

  • The closest MARTA station to the park is SEC District (formerly GWCC/CNN Center), on the Red and Gold lines, about a 3-minute walk from the park's east entrance on Centennial Olympic Park Drive. MARTA renamed the station in December 2025 ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
  • Parking in Downtown Atlanta runs premium at most hotel garages. The MARTA Red and Gold lines connect directly to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in about 25 minutes if you'd rather stay car-free.
  • The park's main pedestrian entrance on the north side (Marietta Street) is the most direct approach from hotels in Luckie-Marietta and Fairlie-Poplar.
  • Andrew Young International Boulevard borders the park's south edge and is the fastest walking corridor from hotels in South Downtown and Peachtree Center.

Neighborhood breakdown: where each hotel sits relative to the park

The Omni Atlanta sits on the east side of the park, connected to the former CNN Center building (now The Center) by an interior walkway, so guests can reach the park's east lawn without stepping outside in bad weather. Signia by Hilton Atlanta occupies the south side, facing Andrew Young International Boulevard, and shares a convention campus with the Georgia World Congress Center.

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis sits further east along Peachtree Center Avenue, putting guests in the Peachtree Center district with a short walk down Baker Street to the park's northeast corner. Glenn Hotel occupies Fairlie-Poplar on the north side of the park corridor, giving it a different street-level character from the convention-heavy south and east sides. Hyatt Regency Atlanta anchors Peachtree Center at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Harris Street. It's the furthest of the five but still inside the 10-minute walk radius via Andrew Young International Boulevard.

FAQs

Common Questions

The Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park sits about 0.1 miles from the park's east entrance, a 2-minute walk along Marietta Street NW. Its interior connection to the former CNN Center building also means you can reach the park without going outside if the weather is poor.

The west side of the park borders Northside Drive NW. The Georgia World Congress Center and Mercedes-Benz Stadium occupy much of that corridor, and there's no bookable hotel within 1 mile on that side. Signia by Hilton Atlanta on Andrew Young International Boulevard is the closest option to the southwest entrance.

Hyatt Regency Atlanta participates in the Zero Waste Zone program, which includes food composting and bio-diesel recycling of cooking oils. Signia by Hilton Atlanta tracks performance through Hilton's LightStay system. Atlanta Marriott Marquis operates under Marriott's Serve 360 framework. Glenn Hotel runs a linen reuse program and sources food locally at its rooftop bar. None of the hotels on this list have a verified third-party property-level certification such as LEED or Green Key.

SEC District station (renamed in December 2025, formerly GWCC/CNN Center) on the Red and Gold lines is the closest, about a 3-minute walk from the park's east entrance on Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW. Peachtree Center station, also on the Red and Gold lines, serves the hotels further east.

Glenn Hotel, Autograph Collection on Marietta Street NW typically prices below the convention-scale properties like Signia by Hilton and the Marriott Marquis. It sits 0.4 miles from the park's north entrance and offers a rooftop bar and boutique rooms in the Fairlie-Poplar historic district.

Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola both sit on the north edge of Centennial Olympic Park, so any hotel on this list puts you within a 5 to 12-minute walk of both. The Omni is the fastest starting point at roughly 4 minutes to the Aquarium entrance on Baker Street NW.
