The WORST Hotel Experience

Liked:The WORST hotel we have stayed at. We paid for a room and checked in online during a storm that delayed over 12.000 flights. We took an uber to the hotel at 3:40 am and our FULLY paid room was given away. We paid for a room we were not able to use. The lobby was full of families that were treated the same way. We were told to call Hilton and take it up with them. Awful service. The manager is rude, very unprofessional and had very poor communication and costumer service skills.

An Awesome Experience, But Needs Improvements

Liked:I was skeptical at first of staying at a Spark By Hilton property. However, my skepticism changed after I arrived at the hotel. First of all, I'd like to give a shout-out to the very kind staff, including but not limited to Benny. When I was looking at the reviews for this hotel, I saw other positive reviews regarding Benny. I'd also like to recognize other staff members, but I don't remember their names from the top of my head, especially the night staff who helped me with getting late night coffee from the 24 hour coffee service and other items. My room was clean and comfortable. While I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, some things need improvement. For example, the elevator has some buttons that aren't brailled. The doors of the elevators need some help as well. The fitness center also needs improvement, including the treadmill that didn't work. All and all, this is a good hotel! I'll add it to my list of places that I'll be staying at when I'm back in Atlanta.

Just a place to lay your head…

Liked:I unfortunately have to start this review with one of the most odd experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel checking in and I travel A LOT all over the world. Being a Diamond Member I’ve never seen this at ANY Hilton property. When I arrived the front desk manager was checking in about 4 of us. Rather than check each one in individually and give us our room keys, the manager checked us in then instructed us to go to our floors and wait for him. Like a cattle heard. Calling out everyones last names and floors. I was on the 4th floor so I was the last one. This has now been 30 minutes since I arrived at the property and I’m still not to my room. When the front desk manager finally arrived I asked if this was the hotel policy or safety measure to be escorted to our rooms, have our rooms opened before we’re given our room keys. He stated “we’re transiting from a different hotel and we have to use the master key to unlock your room before your key will work….and yes it’s a safety measure” I had just stayed at this property not even 2 weeks ago and no such thing was in place. At that time I received my key at the front desk and went to my room. I informed the front desk manager of this and he just walked away. This experience was beyond odd to me and I have never had this. Almost like I wasn’t trusted or being a kid taken to their room. Fast forward to now 1130pm, I’m awaken by loud music, loud TV by the room next to me. I have an early flight the next morning, I called down to the front desk to ask if they would contact the room next to me. Same individual who had to escort me to my room responded with “they’re paying customers and it’s not that late” Now it’s 430am, same room next to me has music blasting while in the shower. I head down to the fitness center. The hotel has a peloton bike which is a great feature, however the manager never activated the bike so it’s useless and can not be used until they activate the bike. In all this is a renovated budget hotel very close to the domestic terminal at ATL and somewhere to just lay your head.

Very nice boutique hotel

Liked:The staff very friendly and professional Simple and elegant decor throughout like a boutique hotel. The rooms very comfortable. Recommend upgrading the bath tub to a walk in shower.
