Not a typical stay for a Double Tree hotel

Liked:Availability where an embassy consulate delegation was meeting with constituents to address matters for its Filipino citizens.
Disliked:The smell of marijuana was everywhere! Unfortunately, it appeared that the staff was the biggest user. The breakfast was a huge disappointment. Food quality was disgusting and bins not replenished. I had to hunt down my own coffee.

This was a clean, but a very hot room, not worth the price.

Liked:I liked the location of the hotel and it was decently clean.
Disliked:I arrived at the hotel to be bombarded by signs of a parking fee and signs of secure your valuables. I did not know about the parking fee, but I would like to think if I am paying to park the car that the lot would at least be secure. Then, the thermostat in the room was not working, so I called the front desk and asked for assistance with getting the room cooled down. I got a call from the front desk with some instructions on how to cool the room down. I felt some relief, so I went to sleep then I woke up 2 hours later in a full-body sweat, right before my alarm was supposed to go off for my morning flight. At this point, I just decided to get up and leave early for my flight making my total stay 5 hours, which was not worth my money. When I checked in I knew I had limited time in my room, I feel like it was wrong to try and spend time coaching me through a room with a cooling issue rather than move me to a new room that had a proven cooling system that works. Because I was not afforded that opportunity and did not get the sleep I needed, I feel like I should have been offered some compensation. Instead it was suggested to me that I should have demanded a cooler room in my limited stay, which I had no time for.
