The Place to Stay

Liked:Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown is the Hotel. Why, if you must ask? It's centrally located to all eateries, restaurants, parks, and events. And if that's not enough. Our stay, and yours, would be the most enjoyable experience. Hotel staff is the "Top, Mgr. Jesse Andrews strives to make your stay memorable. Dining at the Marriott Grill is "Chef Kiss".

Marriott Midtown Suites is a Great Place to stay

Liked:I make frequent visits to Atlanta. I enjoy the mid town area. Over the past 3 years, I have stayed in 5 different Marriott properties. The Marriott Suites has become my favorite. The staff is great. The location is great. I like the roominess of the rooms. And, it represents the best value. I already have booked my next trip to Atlanta and I reserved a room here.

OK hotel in a good location

Liked:We stayed for two nights. The hotel had pros and cons for us. It is in a pretty good location convenient to a Marta station and to Whole Foods. Check in was easy on the app and it was nice that the room was ready when we arrived at 10 am. Rooms are quite spacious though a little dated. We did not mind that, though we did mind that the room was not very clean. Food crumbs like broken chips on the floor all around the desk. The bed was all wrinkled as if hastily made or as if someone had sat on top after it was made. At first we wondered if the room was still occupied. The sink, bath, and shower faucets all dripped. The refrigerator door had been left open so the freezer compartment defrosted and leaked water all over and the fridge was warm. Odd that there is no safe in the room. Hot water is scalding and immediately available, great for a soaking bath after a lot of walking. We left our bags and went out for several hours. When we returned, I wanted to rest before getting ready for dinner. I turned down the bed sheet and there were nasty reddish brown streaks on the sheets. I tried calling the front desk but ended up going downstairs after being placed on a lengthy hold twice. There is no button on the phone to call housekeeping, just guest services which rings the front desk. There was only one person at the front desk with a long line of people checking in, so I spoke with a very nice gentleman at the guest services desk. He at first said housekeepers were probably gone for the day but he might be able to get me some sheets to change it myself. Odd, but OK I can do that. He went and spoke with the housekeeping manager who ended up coming to the room and changing it herself. She said she didn't think it was dirty, just stains that did not wash out. She said they outsource the laundry and the housekeeper must have missed seeing the stain. She was very nice and friendly, changed all the bedding not just the stained sheet. She made a point to ask what time we would like housekeeping the next day. We told her we would be out all day, but when she insisted on a time we suggested 2 pm. We left the room at 10 am and returned around 6 pm. Our room was never cleaned. We went to the front desk and the young lady there said maybe you left the do not disturb sign out, or maybe you asked not to have service. No, we did not. We told her we did not need a full clean, but if we could get some fresh towels that would be fine. Again, the same manager went up and did a full clean of the room. We appreciated that but still, she should not have to do that. All in all it was an OK stay but would stay elsewhere if we returned to Atlanta.

Not kept up the Marriott Standards

Liked:This hotel has gone downhill. Room smelled acidic. Put my leftovers in refrigerator and went to eat them the next day and found the food frozen rock solid. Sink dripped all night.
