Payment

Prices include the taxes and fees paid when you book. Some hotels charge a resort, city or service fee on arrival; where they do, the amount is shown with each room and at checkout. A valid credit card is required at check-in.

Important Information

Please note that upon check-in, a pre-authorization will be placed on your credit card as a guarantee for any incidentals during your stay. The amount will be released by the bank approximately 14 days after departure, provided no extra charges are incurred. The hotel kindly requests that all children are supervised by an adult at all times. Please note that all special requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Late check-out requests are subject to availability. Departures after 11:00 and before 18:00 will incur a half-day charge, while check-outs after 18:00 will be charged a full night’s rate. Our Spa facilities and indoor pool are open from 08:30 to 22:00. Spa therapies are available from 12:30 to 21:00. The use of wet facilities and the indoor pool is permitted for guests aged 16 and over at all times. Spa guests aged 6 to 15 are welcome to enjoy the indoor pool daily during family hours (11:00 to 16:00), accompanied by a parent or family member, who must sign a waiver and remain in the hydrotherapy zone. Breakfast is served daily from 07:00 to 11:00 at our rooftop venues on the 8th and 9th floors, offering panoramic views of the city. Grand Hyatt Athens is a nonsmoking hotel. Smoking is strictly prohibited in guest rooms, restaurants, bars, and all indoor or public areas. A fee of 200€ will apply for guests failing to comply with the nonsmoking policy. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for guests throughout the hotel. Please note that the property can only accommodate pets weighing up to 6 kg. Pets are not permitted in the restaurants. More of a hotel sausage machine than a hotel experience

Liked:Absolutely nothing.

Disliked:Check-in took almost an hour and the service throughout was horrendous. The hotel itself is incredibly dated, dirty and desperately needs a complete refresh. There is visible dirt and grime along the edges of the carpets, skirting boards and communal areas. Honestly, it feels like a hotel straight out of The Shining — they could film the remake here. The room was equally tired and worn, with a visibly dirty old couch and horrendous lighting. The bathroom amenities also felt cheap and unnecessarily over-formulated. In-room dining was possibly the worst part. The spaghetti bolognese arrived as an enormous bowl of spaghetti covered in a strange yellowish sauce, accompanied by a dry, cold bread basket. We also ordered tacos containing a mystery meat that I still couldn’t identify. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the can of Coke. Overall, an old, worn-out hotel in desperate need of a deep clean, renovation and serious improvement in service.
